Fees & booking
What it costs
No referral needed, and no enquiry form. Appointments are at Devonshire Place in Marylebone, central London, or by video, for first consultations and follow-ups.
What a first appointment buys
An hour, and an assessment that covers the medical and the psychological together rather than referring you on for the second half. History, examination where it is useful, blood tests if they are needed, and a real conversation, rather than five minutes at the end.
You can read how an appointment actually works if you would rather know the shape of it before booking.

If this is your first appointment
In person or by video, whichever you choose when you book. In person is better where it is possible: I can examine you, and take bloods the same day. If you are outside the UK I can see you for therapy or for an opinion, but I cannot diagnose or treat you remotely.
First consultation60 minutes
£500
History, examination where it is useful, bloods if they are needed, and enough time to cover the psychological side properly rather than at the end. The right length for anything to do with sex, testosterone, steroids, or a picture with more than one thing in it.
First consultation, shorter30 minutes
£250
For a single well-defined question, the sort of thing you would take to a GP. If it needs longer, we arrange that rather than rushing it.
If you have seen me before
The same rate as a first appointment, charged by the time you need. A separate booking link, because more lengths are available once I know you.
15 minutes
£150
Results, a prescription review, or a quick check-in.
30 minutes
£250
The usual length for reviewing how treatment is going.
45 minutes
£375
When there is more to work through than a review.
60 minutes
£500
When the picture has changed, or there is a lot to cover.
Therapy
Therapy follows a first consultation rather than replacing one, and sessions are arranged directly with me rather than booked online.
There is a waiting list for psychosexual therapy and I am not taking on new therapy clients at the moment. A first consultation is still the way in: we can work out whether therapy is the right thing, and where the wait stands.
Psychosexual and relationship therapy50 minutes
£250
Individuals or couples, usually a course of sessions rather than a one-off.
EMDR session50 or 90 minutes
£250 or £450
The same rate as therapy, pro rata. Ninety minutes is an option rather than the rule: some reprocessing wants the extra time and does not want stopping halfway through.
EMDR intensiveTwo or three sessions in one day
Quote on request
Bespoke. Two or three ninety-minute sessions in one day, to make progress and get results fast. Arranged with me rather than booked online.
Health screening
Each builds on the one before it, and each is shaped around your own history rather than sold as a package. The lists below are what one normally covers. The way in is a first consultation, where we work out which makes sense, or whether none of them does.
Essential health screening
£995
A solid baseline: cardiovascular, metabolic and cancer-risk investigation, evidence-based rather than exhaustive.
- Bloods: full blood count, kidney and liver function, bone health markers, thyroid function and iron studies
- Metabolic risk: HbA1c and fasting glucose, and a basic lipid profile
- Urinalysis
- Prostate cancer risk assessment: PSA and free PSA
- Bowel cancer screening: FIT (faecal immunochemical test) where appropriate
Advanced health screening
£2,000
Everything in the Essential screening, plus hormones, prostate risk in more depth, and body composition.
- Hormonal assessment: total and free testosterone, oestradiol, SHBG
- Stockholm-3 advanced prostate cancer blood test where appropriate
- Body composition scan: visceral fat, muscle mass and body fat percentage
- Anal cytology screening for high-risk HPV and abnormal cells, where risk makes it appropriate
Comprehensive health screening
£5,500
Everything in the Advanced screening, with cardiovascular and bowel investigation considered on top, built around your own history and risk.
- Advanced cardiovascular risk: ApoA/ApoB, lipoprotein(a), hsCRP
- CT calcium score for cardiovascular risk stratification where appropriate
- Colonoscopy, depending on age, symptoms, family history and individual risk
Not available at the moment. I am full and not taking on new patients.
Testosterone medication
Only relevant if treatment turns out to be appropriate, which is a question the assessment answers rather than assumes.
- Testosterone cypionate
- £50 a month
- Nebido
- £300 for the first three months, then £150 every three months
- Testogel
- £65–100 a month
- hCG (Gonasi)
- £50 a month
- Prescription outside a consultation
- £50
What men say about my care
Verified patient reviews, collected and published by Doctify. They update themselves as new reviews arrive, and nothing here is selected by me.
Changing or cancelling an appointment
Moving an appointment is usually straightforward. Let me know as early as you can: the time is held for you, and at short notice it cannot be offered to anyone else.
- More than 48 hours
- Full refund, or move it to another day at no charge.
- 24 to 48 hours
- Half the fee is refunded.
- Less than 24 hours
- The fee is not refunded.
The same applies to every appointment type, including therapy sessions and health screens.
Insurance and referrals
Insurance
Often covered by international insurers, Allianz and Bupa Global among them, but not usually by UK insurers. If you plan to claim, ask yours whether they cover a private specialist in sexual medicine before booking, and I will provide whatever paperwork they need afterwards.
Referrals
You do not need one. If you'd like me to write to your GP I will, and if you'd rather I didn't, that needs no explanation.
The first appointment is the one that takes nerve.
An hour, in central London or by video, with someone who has heard it before and will not be surprised.
