Common sexual difficulites include:

  • Differences in desire between partners

  • Early, premature or delayed ejaculation

  • Difficulties with Orgasm

Assessment of sexual difficulties

Being both a GP, sexual medicine specialist and sex and relationship therapist, I look at the whole picture, including:

  • Medical & hormonal factors

  • Psychological factors

  • Your sexual & erotic world

  • Relationships

  • Your wider life & your life history

  • Expectations and social norms around sex

Sometimes this involves further investigations such as blood tests and scans. But often an initial assessment makes it clear no further medical investigation is needed and we can focus on exploring through sex and relationship therapy.
